Quick Tip: Isolate a Single Game Version in the Roblox Analytics Sheet
Many developers run multiple versions of their game (e.g., v1.2, v1.3, or a live‑test branch). If you only want to look at data for one version without scrolling through all rows, use the built‑in filter on the Game Versions sheet.
- Open the Game Versions sheet
It’s the tab that lists every play session with a Version column.
- Apply a filter
- Select the column header of the Version column.
- Click Data → Create a filter (or press
Ctrl + Shift + L). - In the filter dropdown, un‑check “Select all” and then check the specific version code you’re interested in, e.g.
v1.3.
- Copy the filtered data
The sheet now shows only rows that match the chosen version.
- Highlight the rows (excluding the header).
- Copy (
Ctrl + C) and paste them into a new sheet or workbook if you need a separate analysis.
- Optional – keep the filter handy
If you frequently need to switch between versions, leave the filter on the sheet and just click the dropdown each time. The sheet will instantly show the data for the selected version.
Why this works well
The filter keeps the original data intact while giving you a clean, version‑specific view. It’s a quick, zero‑cost method that works across all Google Sheets versions without any extra scripts or add‑ons.
Feel free to use this technique whenever you need to drill down into a single iteration of your game—no extra tools required!
